Amazon Web Services has since June 24 providing cloud service for noncoder through Honeycode. The cloud unit provider is hoping accommodate noncoder customers who can’t write applications.
Honeycode is assisting the customer type to write applications. AWS is expecting the effort will bring in more customers outside programmers. The Amazon’s business unit is further hoping the move will yield more operating income that will contribute more for the tech giant’s overall profit.
The cloud service for noncoder contains a visual interface that is easy for non-programmers. They can make use of Honeycode for creating apps for scheduling task management and tracking customers.
The fortunate 20 users will be entitled for using the cloud service for noncoder for free. They can make use of the service for organizing 2,500 rows of data in the Honeycode’s spreadsheet for their business purposes. The service attracted AWS customers, Slack and SmugMug, who are planning to use the service.

The launch of Honeycode came up after Adam Bosworth left AWS as its vice president in 2016. Bosworth initially made and led the development of a product which, at that time, was confidential. Many predicted, however, that the product would enable users writing apps with little to no coding. The rumour was then clarified by Larry Augustin, the AWS’s current vice president. Larry said that Bosworth had been working on Honeycode at that time.
Honeycode is the latest of AWS’s efforts for widening its popularity in the cloud service world. The firm’s services have been widely-used by professional developers for top quality in remote computing and storage services. But the successful stories are not without failed efforts.
It encountered less success with Chime video-calling service which at first aimed at netting many customers with less technical capabilities. It is wishing that won’t be happening with Honeycode.
